DIY Style II

Clip earrings, broaches & chains--OH MY!

Flipped, rotated, wrapped, embellished, connected, clipped, turned, twisted...

So I've been inspired, yet again.  This time by the fabulous Tori Spelling.  Her new "Styled" jewelry line ROCKS and if I wasn't as spry as a chicken I would be non the wiser....

I have been collecting VINTAGE & COSTUME JEWELRY for years and inherited some fabulous pieces from my Mom and Grandma. Now, that I have been inspired-- I have lots of options for these gorgeous pieces.

A few months ago I posted my first DIY jewelry feature that showed you how to multi-task some of the pieces in your jewelry boxes that might be taking up space.   If you missed that post click here.

After seeing Tori's new line she has inspired me to take it to another level and use some of her ideas.  You too can get these looks for nothing.

Don't get me wrong her line is fantastic and reasonably priced, but if you are tapped from buying the "perfect outfit" you shouldn't suffer.  You could probably get the same look and not spend a dime.

Girls, this is super easy--stay with me.

This ain't your Grandmas pearls!
A gold pearl necklace flipped and attached to a gold chain.  A broach hides the "connection".

The connection on one side...

Slide the needle of the broach through the two gold hoops to help it stay straight.

The other connection.

5 way pearls twisted, attached to a silver chain and embellished with a broach.

The broach hides the connection.

Are you with me?

4 way pearls with a gold chain and a shoe puff embellishment.

The puff perfectly hides the connection.

A multi bib necklace with a gold chain attached to the top.

I added this teal butterfly pin to kick it up a notch.

BIB Necklace 2 Ways--
A basic wide chain makes it very easy to clip the broaches, clip on earrings and shoe embellishments.

Add as many pieces as you want--you're the BOSS!

I added a feather earring to this one and used a broach to hide the hardware.

Love this!

The best part is there's NO RULES!

FREE STYLE!
This is 2 long chains, flipped and attached.

Wrap it around your neck for another look.

Add a diamond broach for another...

Load it up Johnny!

This choker is a necklace I featured in my first DIY Jewelry Feature.

All the layers are sophisticated.

This is a long chain with a chunky dangle bracelet.

Look at the antique detail!

Wrap it around your neck for another look...

You can add the long chains too.

Or swing the bracelet down to the bottom.

Do you have a fabulous earring with no match?   Or an earring you want to just use for this one time...

2 same strands, flipped and attached.  This time 2 antique clip earrings hide the connection.

Sure, add another layer.

So unique!  That's a clip earring, shoe puff and a feather earring...

Are you INSPIRED too?

Did I get your attention yet? What do you THINK of my Tori Spelling Knock-offs?

I don't mean to TOOT my own horn, but HONK HONK, HONKITY HONK!
